Spring Garden Cemetery

Spring Garden Cemetery is located in a residential area today on the borders on Bedford, Tx and Colleyville, Tx. At one time the area that was once the cemetery was farm land. In 1980 only three marble markers were remaining. The number of burials in the cemetery are unknown. The estimates of burials range from eighty to twenty or fewer.

According to a research project written by a Tarrant Co. Historical Calm. Member , Michael E. Patterson, the following were buried in Spring Garden Cemetery.

R.(ichard) M.(cKelvey) Wade, Born Nov. 29, 1841, Died Dec. 20, 1870

Mary H., daughter of R.T. and M.A. Valentine, born January 17, 1873, died February 8, 1873 or 1875

Infant daughter of R.T. and M.A. Valentine, born and died June 30, 1871

John Weddle, died March 14, 1876

Priscilla, wife of John Weddle, died Nov. 25, 1884

Newton H., son of W.B. Cheek, died March 24, 1876 in infancy

Maudie M., daughter of W.B. Cheek, died July 31, 1886 at one year of age

George Rice Parker, born 1844 in Wauhatchie, Hamilton Co., Tenn., died 1883, married Elizabeth, sister of W. B. Cheek
